Anambra will disappoint Peter Obi, others seeking election under ADC in 2027- Obigwe

The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, on Monday, vowed that Anambra voters would reject anyone seeking election or reelection under the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC) because of Mr Peter Obi.
Obi, former State governor and Presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023 poll, recently defected to ADC with most of the National Assembly and State Assembly members that won election when he was on the ballot.
Obigwe, while making reference to a video clip where Obi explained how stakeholders encouraged him to join ADC, described such a move as a political suicide that would make it impossible for him and " those hoping to use him to win Senate, House of Reps and House of Assembly election in Anambra will end up being disappointed."
He also slammed Obi for not commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo's transformation agenda both at Agulu, his hometown and all over Anambra, arguing that such action would make eligible voters revolt against his Presidential ambition in 2027.
"The target is for APGA to win the 3 Senatorial seats, 11 House of Reps seats and 30 House of Assembly seats in the 2027 election and it will come to fruition in Jesus Christ name, Amen," he boasted.
The APGA stalwart further slammed Obi for moving from APGA to PDP, Labour Party to ADC while his former running mate, Datti Ahmed Baba had declared interest for the LP presidential ticket, describing it as "playing a double game."
"He is playing zoning card and if ADC refuse to zone the ticket to South, he will go back to Labour Party to contest with Datti Baba Ahmed as his running mate. For now, Datti Baba Ahmed is holding forth for him in the Labour party pending the outcome of the ADC primary," he alleged.
