Igwe Abatete Preaches Love And Progress As He Celebrate Triple Festivities

It was an epoch making event on Friday 26th December 2025 at the new palace of Igwe Abatete as the Sons and Daughters of Abatete, friends and well-wishers troops out en mass to celebrate 2025 5th Offala festival.

The event which is of more celebration of Inlusilious Sons of Idemili North and South attracted all the traditional rulers from the two local government areas, including the chairman Anambra state Traditional Council, HRM Igwe Chidubem Ezeiweka, Eze Obosi 111, reputable businessmen and also traditional rulers from other parts of Anambra state.

The event according to the traditional ruler of Abatete His Royal Majesty Igwe Chinyelu Emeka Effobi, was a triple celebrations: 20yrs of his thrown as the traditional ruler of Abatete, his 5th Offala festival and official opening of the permanent Palace of Igwe Abatete which he revealed that it was built singlehandedly by one of their Inlusilious Son of the community Chief Nathan Agbata Owelle Abatete now Owelle Idemili.

*We are celebrating my 20yrs years as a traditional ruler of Abatete, We are also celebrating my 5th Offala festival and the official opening of the new permanent Palace of Igwe Abatete built singlehandedly by one of our Inlusilious Son, Chief Nathan Agbata Owelle Abatete but today confirmed Owelle Idemili, he stated* 

The traditional ruler who was overwhelmed with joy commended Owelle Idemili Idemili Chief Agbata for his benevolence and other sons and daughters of Abatete who are working tirelessly for the progress of their community. He prayed to God to continue to bless and protect the good people of Abatete any where they found themselives. 

He further urged them to maintain that love and peace which Abatete is known for, and asked God to give longevity to all the people of Abatete.

The Anambra state commissioner for Information Chief Dr Law Mefor who is an indigen of the community and also a member Igwe In Council in an interview said the triple events was a celebration of love, peace and progress the people of Abatete are enjoying as a result of the good leadership of their traditional ruler.

Chief Mefor further revealed that most of the development in their community are done by the Inlusilious Sons of Abatete just as he commended Owelle Idemili for his maginminty to the people of Abatete and beyond. According to the commissioner Owelle has built house for windows, contract many roads in the community.

The highlights of the event were the corfirement of titles to the deserved Sons from Abatete, Idemili North and South and beyond as the traditional ruler of Abatete said is to thank them, and for them do more. Exhibition of cultural dances like Igba-Ike, Egedege and different Masquerades.
