Anambra Assembly member dumps party to YPP, pledges to deliver constituency for Chukwuma

The member representing Awka South I State Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Henry Mbachu, has dumped his Labour Party (LP) to Young Progressive Party (YPP), vowing to mobilise support for emergence of the party's gubernatorial candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma.

Mbachu, who declared his interest on broadcast media post, explained that Chukwuma's manifesto suits the aspirations of people of Awka and Okpuno communities who were under the constituency.

"For the November 8 Anambra State Governorship Election, I am going to work with the candidate who has presented the best manifesto that suits the people of Awka and Okpuno. A candidate who represents the young minds. A candidate who presented an understandable blueprint on how to develop Anambra from consumption to production.

" A candidate who has shown me that industries can be built across the state, His Excellency, Barrister Paul Chukwuma. He has also assured me that in every facility built in Awka by the government, Awka and Okpuno people will have the option of first refusal from level 1 to level 7. This decision is in the best interest of Awka South.

"I am here this day to declare to you my defection from Labour Party to the YPP. This decision is made on the foundation of a carefully thought-out way for the good people of Awka and Okpuno, with the best interest at heart,” Mbachu said.

According to him, the quality of YPP’s candidate and his manifesto, fit into his own set legislative agenda for his constituents and he would continuously appeal to the youths to support his compelling vision and plan for Anambra State which is comparable to none else.
