SouthEast Renewed Hope Agenda, a pressure group, weekend, empowered over one thousand , five hundred people in Anambra State, vowing to mobilise over a million votes for President Bola Tinubu for 2027 poll.

SERHA at inauguration of its key officers in Anambra State held at Awka, offered N200,000 to 100 people, N100,000 for 200 people, N50,000 for 300 people and N20,000 for 500 indigent families, as well as gifted hair dryers, grinding and tailoring machines, among others to residents.

Speaking at the occasion, the National Coordinator, SERHA, Mr Belusochukwu Enwerem, disclosed that President Tinubu has demonstrated genuine love for the region which according to him, should earn him over a million votes in Anambra State.

“As ambassadors of renewed hope, we are here to work tirelessly towards the re-election of President Bula Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. This event aims to establish Southeast Renewed Hope Agenda, the Southeast Development Commission, which will unlock opportunities for regional development.

“The administration is committed to improving the lives of Southeasterners and all Nigerians, enabling them to experience the benefit of Renewed Hope and democratic dividends. We are going to inaugurate you and empower you today with motorcycles, keke bus, sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dressing kits. We are also here today to assist 100 people with N200,000, 200 persons with N100,000, N50,000 for 300 people and N20,000 for 500 indigent families," he stated.

He noted that voting Tinubu for a second term would enable him to do more given that his agenda for the country were all encompassing and will hopefully change the nation.

Also speaking, the National Secretary, SERHA, Professor Frank Anaeto, described the association as a movement of well-meaning Nigerians seeking the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 and had nothing to do with State politics or political party affiliation of members.

“It is a movement mainly for the continuity of Mr President. It exists in the six political zones of the country. This group is all-inclusive. Everyone is needed, allowed, permitted and appreciated. Go to your communities and bring out those Nigerians who are not partisan to come and benefit. We are not restricted to any political party. As much as we want Mr President to continue, we also want empowerment for our members," he added.

Contributing, the association's Deputy National Coordinator, Chukwudi Anyanwuocha, recalled that the President recently inaugurated Southeast Investment Company aimed at investing over 150 billion in the Southeast for economic development and general wellbeing.

“So, when people come to say that the President does not do anything for the region, ask them, which other region has this kind of company? When the government started the student loan scheme, the North and South-West were benefiting but our people were not applying.

“I am happy that a lot of Southeasterners are now applying and benefiting from it. Yes, there is hardship in the country, but we see concrete steps being taken to address the issues and the sufferings and make disciples of others for President Tinubu. There are a lot of things happening already and lot more will happen as we continue,” he assured.

Earlier speaking, the Anambra State Coordinator, SERHA, Comrade Alphonsus Muonagolu urged Nigerians to be calm as the President Tinubu's administration was working tirelessly towards ensuring that the current socioeconomic challenges were tamed.

“However, the administration faces challenges such as managing the cost-of-living crisis, ensuring effective policy implementation and balancing short-term reform with long-term benefits. I encourage every Nigerian to bear with the present administration and look forward to the long-lasting benefit it is bringing to Nigeria," he noted.
