Anambra 2025: Obi's headless Obidients mob cannot do more than a dead rat- APGA

The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe has dismissed the claims by some citizen journalists that Peter Obi's support of the Labour Party (LP) Governorship candidate for Anambra State 2025 poll would enable them emerge victorious.

Obigwe, who reeled out many instances where supporters of Obi failed woefully even at their polling units, explained that Anambra people have become wiser, adding that nothing would make harm vote against the ruling Professor Chukwuma Soludo of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Obi, it would be recalled, was the Presidential candidate of LP in 2023 general election during which the party won several seats at the National and State Assembly polls just as People Democratic Party (PDP) candidates won in 2019 when he was Vice Presidential hopeful of the party.

Obigwe said, "As long as the forthcoming November 8th governorship election is concerned, Peter Obi and his headless Obidients mob  cannot do more than a dead rat. Anambra people are wiser and cannot be hoodwinked by Peter Obi into making a regrettable mistake on November 8.

" In 2017 , this same Peter Obi led Oseloka Obaze campaign against Fmr Governor Obiano and they lost shamefully. He lost even in his Anaocha local government because in that election, APGA secured 21 over 21 victory for Fmr Governor Obiano.

" Fast forward to 2021 that Prof Soludo contested his ongoing first in office election, this same Peter supported Valentine Ozigbo and campaigned for him in all the nook and crannies of Anambra State but they ended up losing the election woefully. In that 2021 election,  Peter Obi lost his Anaocha local government to Soludo that won the election in 19 local government areas of Anambra State.

"Peter Obi cannot do any magic that will give the visionless George Moghalu victory on November 8th. What Governor Soludo has that is a big advantage over his opponents in the forthcoming November 8th governorship election is his performance in office and pedigree. In all honesty, he used his commendable performance in office to justify the confidence reposed in him by Anambra electorates in the last 2021 governorship election.

"Those contesting the November 8th governorship election with Governor Soludo are wasting their time because I can authoritatively say that Anambra electorates are not looking at their direction. What is loading for Governor Soludo is 326 over 326 wards victory in Anambra State. It's already a done deal because the people of Anambra are happy with Governor Soludo performance in our State. Peter Obi and his Obidients headless mob will be giving the same 2017 and 2021 elections treatment on the forthcoming November 8th 2025 governorship election."
