In a strong show of collaboration between security stakeholders, the leadership of Agunechemba Security Outfit, also known as Udo Ga Achi, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, for initiating a comprehensive training and re-orientation program for vigilante operatives across the state.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Anambra State Police Command in partnership with the State Government, includes professional training, ethical reorientation, and thorough medical assessments for all local security operatives.

According to a press statement released today in Awka by Comrade Nweke Nweke, the Public Relations Officer of Agunechemba, the leadership views the program as a major step toward improving the efficiency, accountability, and professionalism of community-based security forces.

“We are deeply grateful to CP Orutugu for his time and commitment to grassroots security. This initiative will strengthen our structure, revitalize our operations, and empower our members to serve better,” he stated.

Agunechemba believes the training will expose its personnel to essential areas such as security protocol and human rights, crime scene handling and evidence preservation, local policing principles and rule of law compliance

The organization is optimistic that the exercise will foster closer cooperation with the Police and other security agencies, ultimately improving safety and public trust across communities in Anambra State.

“We are confident that this program will equip our operatives with the right knowledge, reinforce professionalism, and boost community security.

It also highlights the synergy between the Police Command and State Government in promoting peace and order.”

Agunechemba leadership further encouraged all its members to actively participate in the program, which is considered mandatory for every vigilante operative.

“This training is not just a refresher course; it is the future of community policing in Anambra. We urge every member to take full advantage of this opportunity,” the statement concluded.
