Soludo to install speed bumps, others for N10.4b

Anambra State government has approved a sum of 10,418,376,577.6 for installation of speed bumps, road signs and other key infrastructure.

The projects, according to the State Commissioner of Information, Dr Law Mefor,  were approved after a State Executive Council meeting presided over by governor Chukwuma Soludo reviewed the various memos presented by ministries and agencies.

Mefor added that the State Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) would handle the installation of road signs, rumble strips, flashing caution lights, and thermoplastic speed bumps at selected locations at cost of  N55,176,294.

According to him, N2,104,421,881.83 would be used for construction of access road at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, N3,500,000,000 for Umunze-Umuchu bye-pass and erosion and flood control, and N2,653,275,980.74 for construction of 3.9km access road at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.


Others were N528,622,393 for Ekwulobia Stadium Complex Country Club construction completion, N97,310,537.00 for rehabilitation of Nya Ranch road within old government house, N65,681,358.34 for works at Onitsha Specialist Hospital, and N718,681,767 for renovation of Nwafor Orizu College of Education's dilapidadated buildings.
