Officers Training College marks 100 years anniversary, as Salvation Army new bonds

The entire Salvation Army of the Nigeria Territory have joyfully celebrated the 100th Anniversary (Centenary) of the Officers Training College (OTC).


The event was conducted by the Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, Commissioners Friday and Glory Ayanam, ably supported by Lieutenant-Colonels Nkwachukwu and Juliet Ezeonyilimba (Chief Secretary / Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries) and Major Ifeanyi Obi, the Training Principal.




The moderator who is also the Chairman, Centenary Committee, Apostle Dr. Nnamdi Mbaigbo FIMC CMC of the Salvation Army Nigeria Territory, Officers Training College 2025 commended the esteemed Territorial Commander, Commissioner Friday, and Glory Ayanam for their bold and resolute leadership.

 "Your courageous decisions have activated our people, sparking a mission that paves the way for an enduring legacy".


"I urge the Nigerian government and society to embrace the Salvation Army Nigeria Territory as a strategic partner in social interventions and initiatives. Together, let us build a future defined by transformative service and innovation".


"In this Century of Service—honouring our past and inspiring the future—we march forward in unity and purpose".


Also in his address, Territorial Public Relations Secretary, Salvation Army – Nigeria Territory, Major Daniel Ekong expressed happiness while congratulating the Nigeria Territory and all who have laboured through the years to build the Officers Training College.


Special Guests among them were the Provost of the West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS), Representatives from the Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Development & Conflict Management, Members of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria, the President and members of FOOTCOL, Officers and comrades from across the Territory


Meanwhile,  some of the highlights of the celebration were Planting of the OTC Centenary Tree, Presentation of Awards and Honouring of Distinguished Guests, Cutting of the Centenary Cake, Fundraising in support of the OTC, Ministration of the Word- TC, Message by Divisional Band.
