Ndigwe lacks power to confer Chieftaincy on Bianca, Obigwe blasts Awka stakeholders

The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe (Akaekpuchionwa and Chinyelugo 1 of Ogbaru), on Friday, slammed Awka stakeholders for supporting conferment of Anyanwu ututu on Bianca Ojukwu, the wife of Biafran warlord, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu by self styled traditional ruler of Awka, Chief Austin Ndigwe.

Ndigwe had on December 30th bestowed the Chieftaincy title on the State Minister for Foreign Affairs despite allegedly being told by governor Chukwuma Soludo that he would never be recognised since their present monarch, Obi Gibson Nwosu is alive.

According to Obigwe, "Austin Ndigwe does not have the right to parade himself as Awka traditional ruler and he is also not in a position to perform the functions of a traditional ruler. The position of the government is that the traditional ruler of Awka is His Royal Majesty Igwe Gibson Nwosu and not Austin Ndigwe."

He noted that anybody challenging Nwosu appeared to be fighting the government and Governor Soludo administration, which according to him,  is fully prepared to bring the full weight of the law upon that person.

" As for Bianca acceptance of a Chieftaincy honour from the impostor Austin Ndigwe, it is completely wrong and condemnable. No doubt of the fact that she is eminently qualified to be honoured with a Chieftaincy title but the position of government is that it should be done by a recognised traditional ruler and not an impostor.

" Bianca has been honoured by many traditional rulers with Chieftaincy title  and those honours did not raise any dust. The reason that of Austin Ndigwe is raising dust is because he is not a recognised traditional ruler in Anambra State and what he is doing in Awka is a desecration of igbo's traditional institution.

"Governor Soludo administration frowned at Bianca decision to accept a Chieftaincy honour from an impostor because she knows the position of government to Austin Ndigwe's naked dance of shame in Awka. The recognised traditional ruler of Awka is Igwe Gibson Nwosu and any other person parading himself as Awka traditional ruler is dwelling in self deceit.

"The general public should ignore the senseless ranting of the amorphous Awka stakeholders because those behind it are bunch of idiots picking crumbs from the table of the impostor Austin Ndigwe to feed their insatiable stomach infrastructure appetite. Long live His Royal Majesty igwe Gibson Nwosu, the recognised traditional ruler of Awka, long live Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the defenders of what is right and voice of the voiceless."

Obigwe added that "They only made a failed attempt to support the desecration of igbo's traditional institution. The position of Governor Soludo administration with regards to the authentic traditional ruler of Awka that is  recognised by the government cannot be faulted by any sane mind.

"Anybody parading himself as a traditional ruler without following the laid down procedures and without government recognition is an undisputed impostor. In fact, such a person is dwelling in self deceit. As a matter of fact, the position Governor Soludo administration is defending today is the right position."
