Anambra Guber peaceful, nothing to argue against Soludo's re-election in Court- AA

The governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA) at the just concluded Anambra State poll, Ozo Jeff Nweke, on Monday, said there was no case anyone could use to dispute governor Chukwuma Soludo's re-election given that the exercise was credible, free and fair.

Nweke, who stated this at a press conference, explained that only known incident of violence during the poll was what transpired at Orumba South, which he has joined other stakeholders in calling on the government to investigate and prosecute offenders.

According to him, the outcome of the election indicated that people were still happy with Soludo over his developmental strides and he would love him to consolidate on that as he begins his second administration.

He, therefore, congratulated the governor and implored 14 other contestants to congratulate him as well and join hands in moving Anambra State to an enviable height.

Nweke further explained that congratulating the governor was necessary given that he had during acceptance speech yesterday, offered olive branch to 15 other contestants while reassuring his outmost desire to continue running a government of inclusivity, people oriented policies and development driven economy.

Nweke also dismissed the claims that the election was characterised by vote buying, noting that he never witness such in polling unit although some of his agents from other parts of the State reported about it.

She also commended the electorate for improved voter turnout and refraining from violence, describing it as a prove that democracy has maturity age in Anambra State.

He, however, urged the governor to deploy technology in tackling security as well as embark on massive employment so as to tame crimes and criminalities, and hunger in the State.

"Election has come and gone. The people have spoken. On their mandates, we shall stand. I have accepted the outcome. I will support the governor in rebuilding Anambra State as he told us in his acceptance speech yesterday. He has promised to improve in his government of inclusivity.

"I like that and want him to put it into action. I am wishing him well, God's protection and wisdom to serve Anambra State well. I want to appeal to other contestants to accept the olive branch and collaborate with him. In every contest, there must be a winner. We cannot all win at same time," he stated.
