Spiritualist urges Igbo to stop investing on hospitality, flamboyant celebrations

The President, Foundation for World Peace and Cultural Reorientation, Chief Dr Ramas Okoye-Asuzu has called on Igbo nation to invest more on human capital development rather than hospitality and flamboyant celebrations.

Okoye-Asuzu made the call at Obu Ndigbo in Nri, ancient city of Igbo land, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State while bestowing Ambassador for Peace and Omeifeukwu II of Ndi Igbo Gburugburu (worldwide) on an illustrious son of Awka, Amb. High Chief Dr Chukwuka Prosper Chukwuemeka.

The celebrated custodian of Igbo culture and peace, argued that investing on human capital development would transcend to industries, create employment and development simultaneously while investing on hospitality and celebrating flamboyantly encourage envy and atrocities.

According to him, the Igbo have suffered enough and only way to rebuild the land is through think-home philosophy which entails investing in industries, establishing businesses, liberating the oppressed and other humanitarian services.

This according to him, was why he agreed with the elders and Board of Trustees of the Foundation for World Peace and Cultural Reorientation, to coronate High Chief Dr Chukwuka P. Chukwuemeka as Deputy President,  Peace Ambassador and Omeifeukwu II of Ndi Igbo Gburugburu (loosely translated as doer of impossibilities).

“It literates me when I see my people spreading money at events, building hotels and other economic wastes when they should actually build the people. These people are not really rich as Engr. Arthur Eze, Dangote and others yet they preferred to ravish their wealth on mundane things, attracting enemies for themselves.

“You will be blessed and celebrated more by the God and people when you impact on people positively. That was why I was happy when I was told of Ambassador Chukwuemeka’s exploits in justice sector and others sectors. I was moved to honour him with two titles on merit based on recommendations and acceptances of Igbo stakeholders and members of Foundation for World Peace and Cultural Reorientation.

“We are honouring him for been a warrior, a fighter and good man for the entire Igbo race. If he goes defending the Igbo nation and the world at larger, we will call him back and bestow him with highest order in the next five years,” he stated.

Born in 1980 to Mr. Emmanuel and Mrs Roseline Chukwuka of Nkwelle village in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, the young Chukwuemeka has left indelible marks in real estate, civil service and private sector and still counting.

The celebrant whose coronation attracted dignitaries from all walks of life and nations, is reputed to have liberated many youth and old people abandoned in prison and police custodies all over the world with trunk charges usually instituted by oppressors.

After the initiation he danced to the tune of Uhie (wooden drum beaten) to the admiration of fans, family and friends who came to cheer with him.

Speaking in an interview, Ambassador Dr Chukwuka Prosper Chukwuemeka said he would never relenting in working for release of prisoners and others held hostage in the police or prison despite not committing any crime.

Chukwuemeka, however, said he would never allow anyone who truly committed the crime to regain freedom without facing appropriate sanctions even as he reassured readiness to empower those liberated from prison to be reintegrated back to society as employers of labour.

He called on governor Chukwuma Soludo and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Judge of the State and others qualified to facilitate release of prisoners to always find time to do that rather than allowing the innocent and other awaiting trial inmates to wrath.

He assured that he would try to set free about hundreds of people in prison as well as empower the less privileged before returning to the city.

Speaking in an interview, a female cultural promoter of Igbo land, Ada Igbo, Ezinne Chikachukwu thanked the centre for Igbo cultural centre for the coronation, noting that Chukwuemeka would never stop in uplifting the masses, especially the downtrodden.

"I know that he is perfect gentle man. He will never abuse the power bestowed on him. He doesn't use titles for fraud or looting people. This will rather encourage him to do more for the Igbo nation," she stated.
