Anambra Market Honors Traders aged 90 and above

It was an epoch making event on Friday 17th October 2025 when the leadership of Ogbaru Marin Market in Ogbaru local government Area organized a party to celebrate and honor traders above  90s  who are still trading in the market.

The historical event took place inside the market and began with Holy Mass officiated by the Catholic priest, Rev Fr Samson Ogbuebina, the parish priest of Immaculate Heart, Fegge Onitsha.

It was massively attended by the traders  including the leadership of the market, other dignitarys include the SA to the governor on Parks and Market, Chief Everestus Uba, the President General of ASMATA, Chief Humphrey "Anuna Onwa Oraeri", Ogbaru council Mayor, APGA chairman Ogbaru local government Osigwe among others.

Speaking at the event, president general of ASMATA Chief Humphrey Anuna "Onwa Oraeri" commended the president general of Ogbaru marin market Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu "Ezeudo" and his executives for organizing such a historical event which according to him was of its kind in the history of Anambra market.

Onwa Oraeri prayed to God to extend such blessings to him and his family, noting that it is a thing of joy, thanksgiving and worthy of celebration seeing a 90 years old still trading in the market. He urged leaders in other markets to emulate Ogbaru main market.

Also speaking, the SA to the governor Soludo on Market and Park, Chief Everestus Uba applauded the leadership of the market for their visionary leadership, saying they have breaking a history in Anambra market. Chief Uba reminded the traders that November 8 is at the corner and should be ready for massive vote for APGA.

Earlier in his speech, the president general of Ogbaru marin market Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu "Ezeudo" revealed that he decided to honor those at 90s and above because of his love for elderly persons which he said always give him joy seeing them happy. He assured that it is going to be an annual event.

Ezeudo commended  Chief Uba and other dignitarys for honoring their invitation,  He further disclosed that Ogbaru marin market is APGA and no other political party comes to Ogbaru marin market for campaigning, boasting that second tenure of governor Soludo is not negotiable.
