The governorship candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Anambra State November 8 poll, Sir Paul Chukwuma has assured the people of Ihiala Council Area adequate security of lives and property.

Chukwuma, who stated this during his tour of various communities in Ihiala LGA, vowed that the Council Area would be his first point of call after swearing-in on March 17, 2026.

"Our campaign trail arrived Ihiala LGA yesterday and was received warmly by the  Young and Progressive family in Ihiala. Ihiala LGA, in entirety, has been abandoned by the current Anambra State Government. The LGA has been left at the mercy of criminals who have disrupted life in different parts of the LGA in the last three years.

"I had earlier visited some of the troubled areas in the LGA, and yesterday, I assured Ndi Ihiala that we shall restore the full compliments of their LGA to them. Ihiala is an important LGA to Anambra State. Therefore, our first point of call after my swearing-in come March 2026, by the grace of God, will be to restore security in Ihiala and other parts of Anambra State.

"We thank the leaders of our party in Ihiala and all the new members we received into our party yesterday. Our assurance is that Ihiala will thrive again," he reassured.
