The Managing Director, Anambra State Civic and Social Reformation Office (ANCISRO), Sir Chuka Nnabuife, on Monday, described his agency as a dynamic institution driving civic and social reformation across the 21 Council Area and beyond.

Nnabuife, a media guru and celebrated author of international repute, stated this during a-one-year anniversary celebration of ANCISRO, held in Awka, Anambra State capital with pomp and pageantry.

According to him, the agency established by governor Chukwuma Soludo on September 1, 2024  had grown to become a force to reckon with in social and civic reformation among the youth, children and aged.

"Established on September 1 2024, in the Office of the Governor of Anambra State by Gov. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, ANCISRO literally hit the ground running. Coming three after the highly vexed Anambra State local government councils' election, the Office sprang to the task with public and media interventions on the polls.

"With articles, broadcasts, films, jingles and unprecedented social communication vigour the new office articulated, promoted and persuaded Ndi Anambra to accept the civic event. Bouyed by the boarding success the agency launched ahead, surefooted.
"By integrating cultural advocacy with modern communication strategies, it has inspired citizens —particularly young people—to embrace individual and social responsibility, discipline, and values-driven approaches to development," he added.

He enumerated some of their activities within the year as State-wide Broadcast and Podcast Campaign on Local Government Elections, Newspaper and Social Media Publications, production of short Film on Infrastructural Development, public enlightenment on burning of tyres, end-of-year forum and Inaugural Lecture Series, campaign Against Indiscriminate Waste Disposal, jingles on Family and Parenting Values, Keynote Lecture at Catholic Men Organisation Retreat, and Workshops and Community Engagements.

Others were  Keynote at Ihiala Students’ Forum, Book Projects publication on moral values, Book on Governor Soludo’s Leadership, Town Hall Forum, International Day of the Boy Child Summit, Production of 20+ jingles, films, and Awareness Campaign on flooding, participation in over a dozen conferences and seminars across the state, collaborated with four Anambra-based civil society organisations.

"Over 1 million people reached via radio, television, and social media. More than 10,000 students engaged through school outreach programmes. We are always providing digital Engagement: Development of strong online platforms to promote civic and social values," he stated.

The one year anniversary was attended by people from all walks of life, with Nnabuife calling for partnership with CSOs, NGOs and individuals for the agency to reach out to more persons before the end of 2025 and beyond.
