Anambra 2025: APC inaugurates campaign council, as Ukachukwu moves to dethrone Soludo

The All Progressive Congress (APC), on Tuesday, inaugurated its State and zonal Campaign Councils for the governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu ahead of Anambra State November 8 gubernatorial poll.

The team, comprising welfare, operation, contacts and mobilisation, religious, youth mobilisation, security, support group, strategy and planning, women, logistics, media and other committees was inuagurated at Awka.

The Southeast Zonal Chairman of APC, Dr. Arodiogbu Ijomah, while inaugurating the campaign council on behalf of the National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshiwe Yilwatda, charged them to work harmoniously towards ensuring that victory is achieved for the party.

According to Ijomah, Anambra is dare to the APC and President Bola Tinubu, and they would give Ukachukwu necessary support to win the election because of his capacity and capability to influence positive change, having raised men and women strategically positioned to salvage the State.

"Anambra State is so dare to APC. We are here for victory. For this to be achieved, we have to double our efforts because this is a huge task, a very big responsibility. been restored on them. Our candidate and his deputy have raised men and women of integrity and goodwill.

"We will support him to deliver on his mandate. Our President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is with you.The national leadership of APC is with you. The Imo State governor and other members of the party will support your candidacy. You were carefully chosen at primary to vie for this election. Everyone must work hard to realise this project ," he added.

Also speaking, four members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Paul Obu representing Orumba north, Hon Ikedi Oji representing Nnewi north, Hon Patrick Okafor of Onitsha North 2, and Hon Patrick Udeoba of Anambra West, officially declared for APC and vowed to support Ukachukwu to emerge as the next governor, as well as succeed in his tenure

On his part, the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Basil Ejidike, charged members to mobilise votes from their polling units and Local Government Areas, which according to him, was where elections are won.

Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Governorship candidate of APC, Senator Uche Ekwunife, reiterated the need for the party to work in unity and love, noting that would witness massive socieconomic development upon their election.

According to Ekwunife, voting for APC would also offer Anambra electorates opportunities to compare and contrast between the good governance to be offered by their administration and APGA led government of Chukwuma Soludo.

" We are here to offer Anambra with greater opportunities to choose between a good governance and bad governance. We have the best measure and alternative to Anambra forward. When you have tasted onugbu so much it is advisable that you taste another soup- ora, egusi and others. By the time you have tasted ora, you can now go on to compare. We will connect you to the national," she added.

Addressing the gathering, the governorship candidate of APC, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, said his administration would declare state of emergency on agriculture, invest massively on agricultural value chain

Ukachukwu also vowed to provide adequate security in addition to investment on power plant to drive economic revolution across the State with encouragement of local and international investors.

"We have plans to industrialise Anambra state. We know what we are going to do. We are going to have agricultural revolution. Anambra will invest massively on agriculture to boost people wellbeing and prosperity. We will declare a state of emergence in agriculture and provide people with all they need to revive the dying sector.

"I will provide adequate security in Anambra State to encourage both local and international investors to come in to industrialise our State. Our education will return back to its lost glory of excellence. Our health sector will become one of the best in the country again. We are prepared to govern Anambra. We have done research, we have consulted the experts, we have the blueprint on how to revive Anambra State," he added.
