Labour Party actually planning to deploy thugs, rig bye-elections in Anambra- APGA

The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, on Friday, alleged that  Labour Party (LP) members were actually planning to rig the tomorrow's Saturday bye-elections holding at Onistha North 1 and Anambra South Senatorial zone respectively.

Obigwe, who made the allegations in a statement, however, reassured electorate that the Nigerian Security Agents would not only thwart any plan by anyone to rig the elections but deal decisively on the culprits.

This was a reply to a statement by the Anambra State Labour Party Caucus in the National Assembly alleging a plot by governor Chukwuma Soludo to deploy non-State security personnel and touts in tomorrow's bye-elections to take over various voting points so as to scare away prospective voters not aligned to APGA from polling units.

" These elements are actually plotting to rig the tomorrow's bye election but seeing that there evil plan is being thwarted one after the other they resorted to crying wolf where none exists. They are actual people planning to unleash thugs on innocent electorates in tomorrow bye election to rig the election.

"But it's now obvious to them that security agents will deal decisively with their thugs hence their reason for shedding crocodile tears. The NSA and our security chiefs should ignore their cock and bull story. Governor Soludo's antecedent is well known to Nigerians, the last thing he will do is to encourage election rigging," he alleged.

He further described them as politicians shedding crocodile tears ahead of impending defeat at tomorrow's bye-elections, even as he noted that the "fabricated tissue of lies emanating from the camp of disgruntled political elements that can be referred to as false alarmists" would not stop "The will of Anambra electorates from prevailing "

"As Anambra State Governor, he used his good work in Anambra to justify the confidence reposed on him by Anambra electorates and the electorates are determined to use voting for APGA candidates on 16th August bye election and voting for him on November 8th governorship elections to pay him back," he added.
