I'm determined to win the fight against insecurity, restores Anambra's pride as governor- Ukachukwu

The Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu has unveiled his campaign Director of Media and Communication, Chief Chiedo Obidiegwu, ace broadcaster and former Managing Director/Chief Executive officer, Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS).

Ukachukwu, while speaking at the event held in Awka, the State capital, assured his commitment towards restoring the pride and dignity of Anambra State through provisions of security of life and property.

According to him, Anambra State upon winning the November 8 poll, the administration will invest heavily on digital technology and other initiatives capable of driving effective crimes detention, prevention and prosecution.

The initiative, according to him, would also involve active community engagements because when people from communities get involved, it would be easier to identify potential criminals, reform those willing to be reformed as well as speed up prosecution.

He said that this would be possible because he has the political will, adding that when the security is regij, local investors would thrive, ease of doing business improves and foreign investors would be willing to invest, thereby creating jobs, employment and wealth for the teeming populace.

Ukachukwu further listed how his administration intended to improve the status of Nnewi as an industrial hub, boost commerce at Onitsha and information and communication technology in Awka and its environs, as well as open more urban and semi urban centres through mechanised agriculture and sustainability.

He was optimistic that with wealth creation, empowerment, improved access to education and revolution across other economy, the youth would no longer engage with illegalities.

Earlier speaking, the Director of the Media and Communication, Chief Chiedo Obidiegwu commended Ukachukwu for the opportunity, assuring that the theme would lead the crusade to increase the public awareness on the plans and capacities of Ukachukwu to change Anambra State for better.
