My love for development pushed me to establish modern school in Anambra – Enendu

High Chief. Bar.Sir. Ifeanyichukwu Enendu a Lagos base lawyer and a key member of Alor.town Idemili south LGA royal cabinet has said that his love for development of his community motivated him to establish a modern crest school ‘St Micheal Global crest school Umuoshi village Alor so as to develop the capacity of growing youths  in education so that  they will  be useful to the society as well as create employment for his people.

Alor  is the home town of the immediate past federal minister of labour and a onetime governor of Anambra state Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige.

Disclosing this while speaking to newsmen during the last annual graduation ceremony of the school held at the school premises Umuoshi village Alor Idemili South LGA last weekend Sunday, Enendu told newsmen that the school which was solely established by him nine years ago has being growing in standard and enrollment of pupils and had a modest growth  that had reached to its present higher standard which has enabled it to offer quality crest education to indigenes and non indigenes  in the community as to be reckoned in child education training in the entire town and idemili south LGA in general.

Revealing that it has not been easy for him as a sole sponsor of the school, he stated he has been working round the clock to ensure prompt payments of personels as well as provision of other logistics for the administration and progress of the school adding that the school boast of having qualified personnel as well as modern amenities for conducive quality education.

On whether he receives government support, he explained that he has never receive any support from both the local and state government. He used this opportunity to solicit for support from the government stressing that it is high time the government in the state start partnering with private investors on education to develop learning in the state.

Said he, “government in the state should start partnering with us private investors to develop learning, my school need assistance, let me use this opportunity to call on the government to come to aid of my school either through financial inducements or otherwise”.           

  Earlier while reading a welcome address, Mrs Juliet Nwankwo a retired director of schools, who is the headmistress of the school stated that the school was founded with a clear purpose to eradicate illiteracy, nurture moral excellence as well as to empower children to stand confident and proud in any sphere of life, she noted that the school is not driven by competition or prestige but by a deep commitment to shaping minds that will contribute meaningfully to the society adding that the aspiration of the management of the school is to position the school as a beacon of educational excellence both in Anambra state and Nigeria in general.

Speaking to newsmen immediately after the ceremony on the standard of education in the school, Pastor Anazodo Obinna Emmanuel a clergy man from Christ holy church Odozi Obodo Alor one of numerous parents  of the school and Rev. Engr. Ifeanyi Okeke, chaplain of Alor girls secondary school, Hon. Ebuka Igwe, member representing Idemili south in the Anambra state house of assembly all commended the standard of learning in the school as well as showered encomiums on the proprietor of the school, teachers and entire management and urged the Anambra state government to come to the aid of the school.Hon Ebuka Igwe specifically assured that he is going to partner with the school by  floating a scholarship scheme in the school as well as helped the school to receive necessary support from Anambra state government.

Also adding their voices, Chief Chimezie Ukatu, Vice chairman Anambra development association (ADU),Chief Obi Ken Nwibe President Umuokwu general assembly, Chief Anayochukwu Onunkwo a member of Igwe of Alor cabinet also commended the proprietor of the school and entire management for helping in bringing up the standard of learning in the school and appealed to the state and local government to come and partner with the school just as they awarded several scholarship schemes in their individual capacities to various pupils who excelled in their academic pursuit in the school.

Highlightd of the occasion was featuring of Dramas,singsongs, matchpast, Cultural dances and callistanics etc.
