APGA commends AIRS for debunking Obi's 'lies' on highest tax payer in Anambra

APGA Media Warriors Forum, on Saturday, commended the Anambra Internal Revenue Service (AiRS) for debunking the claims by former governor Peter Obi that Sabmiller brewery was highest tax payer in the State.

AiRS has in a statement, listed First Bank and four others as highest tax payers in the State, noting that SabMiller is the distant sixth. 

Speaking in a press statement, the National Coordinator of the forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe lambasted Obi for making such utterance, describing it as one of the lies usually told by the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP).

" I watched a video of how he subtly threw a stone at Governor Soludo during the campaign rally of George Moghalu that is Labour Party candidate. At that rally, Peter Obi compared Sabmiller breweries with Solution fun city and boasted that Sabmiller brewery is the highest taxpayer in Anambra State. Thanks to AIRS for debunking that lies and setting the record straight," he stated.

According to him, incumbent governor Chukwuma Soludo is laying a solid foundation which everyone could view with their two eyes and should be supported.

"As at today, Governor Soludo 3years and almost 4months in office achievements has surpassed Peter Obi's 8years in office achievements. Infact, Governor Soludo has surpassed all his predecessors achievements and cannot be compared with any of them.

" He is truly intentional with what his administration is doing in our State. Anambra under Governor Soludo administration watch is truly in the right hands and the people of our State will vote for him massively on November 8th as a well deserved reward for his good work in our State," he added.
