Agunechemba, SASA Mourns Colleague, Deceased Children Bags Scholarships

On July 9, 2025, strong feelings were evident as people from various neighborhoods within and outside Anambra State gathered at the Fegge Mini Township Stadium in Onitsha South Local Government Area  to pay their respects to their departed colleague, friend and brother, the late Chuwkwunonso Julian Imah Esomeke, affectionately known as Ambassador.

To recognize Esomeke's commitment to helping others throughout his life, his colleagues came together to express their appreciation by mobilizing friends, supporters of Agunechemba, and that of the Special Anti-Touting Squad, SASA, to assist his grieving family during this challenging period after the passing of the local security personnel.

At the event, Chief Monday Onwe Nwokoye, the Director of SASA in Anambra, who was the last supervisor of the deceased before he passed on, spoke to uplift the spirits of Esomeke's mourning family.

While some promised to provide scholarships for the children left behind by the dedicated security member, others offered various forms of support to the widow, along with her two sons and daughter.

  

In his address to the late Esomeke's club members, Chief Nwokoye emphasized the importance of honoring their deceased colleague by recognizing the immense contributions he made to society during his lifetime, stressing that nothing could truly measure the sacrifices made by the late security worker.

In an interview, the chief security officer to the mayor of Ogbaru local government area described the deceased as a hard working security officer who spent most of his life for good of others.

 

Earlier in his address at the vigil organized to pay tribute to the departed at the Agunechemba Headquarters, Lion Building Awka earlier, Chief Chineye Iheknor, known as Okpompi, characterized the late Chuwkwunonso Julian Imah Esomeke as a modest, committed, and reliable individual. He remarked that the gap created by the passing of the late officer in his family and workplace would be hard to fill.
