Anambra community endorses Chukwuma for governor, assures 100 votes for YPP

Umunnachi community in Dunukofia Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, on Saturday, vowed to unanimously vote the candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP), Sirc Paul Chukwuma on November 8 poll.
The community at a welcome party held in honour of their son and running-mate to Chukwuma, Hon. Uzu Okagbue, expressed confidence on Chukwuma and his Deputy, who according to them, were light needed to brightening Anambra.
Speaking at the occasion, the President General of Umunnachi community, Arch Frank Okonkwo extolled the efforts of Okagbue and parents to forester development of the community and promised to support him.
“Today’s gathering is significant. Uzu is one man who I have relied on what I learned from his father till today. He is a solid community leader who genuinely cares about the public good. Uzu has also contributed so much to the growth of our community,” the PG said.
The community through Chief Ikechukwu Nwachuya, Onowu Umunnachi, offered prayers for Chukwuma's victory, having absolute confidence that he would deliver.
Earlier speaking, the Deputy Governorship candidate of YPP, Hon. Uzu Okagbue, said the event was aimed at formally informing the community that he is on the ballot as Sir Paul Chukwuma’s running mate in the YPP, for the November 8 Anambra State Governorship Election.
“I am here to inform Ndi Umunnachi that I am on the ballot for the November 8 Governorship Election. So, your son is the running mate of the YPP Governorship candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma,” Uzu said.
The event which was held at the civic centre of Umunnachi was well-attended by Ndi Ichie Umunnachi, including Ichie Okpala and others, Umunnachi Improvement Union leaders, Umunnachi Women Union, Ndi Nze Umunnachi, Iyom Society Umunnachi led by their leader, Chief Mrs. Ngozika Njelita, and the Umueze dance troupe, among many others.
